Gramma Dot's (Sanibel)

Gramma Dot’s Outdoor Seating and Entrance

Gramma Dot’s Outdoor Seating and Entrance

Gramma Dot's is a wonderful place with excellent food. Accessible by boat or car. If heading their by boat, head to the Sanibel Marina, go slow because the dolphins like to play in the canal. Stop in at the fuel dock to ask for a slip. They are very nice and accommodating. Eat outdoors at the edge of the Marina or indoors.

The food is excellent! Spinach Boursin Grouper Sandwich was delicious as was the Sea Side Spinach Salad. They do not have a full bar (often the case on Sanibel) but they have beer and wine. Wait staff is friendly and attentive.

Lazy Flamingo 3 (Bokeelia)

Lazy Flamingo 3 is on the north side of Bokeelia Island. Enter from the west side of Pine Island and meander into Jug Creek.

A hidden gem at Four Winds Marina. Bokeelia top spot as far as I am concerned. Service was friendly and attentive. View of marina was great. Food was delicious. Trust the chef!! Full bar was a nice surprise. Will return for sure!

South Beach (Boca Grande)

South Beach Bar & Grill is located on the southern tip of Gasparilla Island. There is no docking near the restaurant, so you will need to anchor off shore and swim to shore or dock at Boca Grande Marina and walk the 2.2 miles to South Beach or rent a golf cart from the Marina ($25-$85 depending on time or $125 for the day) .

South Beach is a great place to sit back with a cocktail and a seriously great salad. Sit outside and look out at the beach and the ocean. Relax.

Riviera Bar and Grill (Punta Gorda)

The Riviera Bar & Grill is in Punta Gorda in back of the Riviera Marina. Docking is sparse with only 4-5 slots available dockside. Access the canals to the restaurant from Gasparilla Sound - Charlotte Harbor at Ponce de Leon Boat Ramp or south of that at Alligator Creek or north of that through the canals beginning to the left of the red roof Colony Point Condominiums working your way south through the canals. If you like poking through the canals, this is a fn ride.

This restaurant is outstanding! Service was spot on, Heidi was spectacular. The grouper reuben was heavy on the grouper and delicious. The view from the picnic tables was outstanding. Calm and peaceful but every once in a while, a special boat goes by as you eat. Will go back very very soon.

The Pink Elephant (Boca Grande)

This is an upscale restaurant on Boca Grande accessible by boat with seating indoors and out of doors. Make sure you dock in the prescribed Pink Elephant slips which are clearly marked. Restaurant opens at 11:30am. If you arrive early, pick your seat and sit down. Wait staff will welcome you when they open. Tables are neat and clean. Wait staff is top notch. Nicholas was outstanding. The attention to detail was quite nice. Pink elephants were found everywhere including little plastic elephants in the cocktails. The food was really excellent, shrimp and sausage on flatbread - delicious. Fish tacos were excellent as well. I suspect everything will be great. Can't wait to visit again.

Had a chance to once again visit the Pink Elephant... just to see if our first visit was a fluke, could they impress us again? They did not disappoint! Doyd, our incredible server, was phenomenal! With good humor, great care and attention, he delivered outstanding service, wonderful food and drink and gave all of us a time to remember. It is not a fluke. Lest I forget, the smokey Old Fashioned? Best I ever had. Thank you Doyd!
